Nexperia Partners With Tata Electronics for Semiconductor Production
Global semiconductor company joins Dholera’s emerging chip ecosystem

One of the biggest recent developments for Dholera is the partnership between Nexperia and Tata Electronics.
According to Reuters, the two companies announced a strategic partnership under which Nexperia’s power-control chips are planned to be manufactured at Tata Electronics’ approximately $11-billion semiconductor facility in Dholera. The companies will also cooperate on testing and assembly at Tata’s semiconductor packaging facility in Assam.
What is Nexperia?
Nexperia is a semiconductor manufacturer whose components are widely used in areas such as automotive electronics and consumer electronics.
Its partnership with Tata Electronics therefore adds an international technology and manufacturing connection to the Dholera project.
Why the partnership is important
A semiconductor fab does not operate in isolation. It requires semiconductor materials, equipment, technology partners, suppliers, testing facilities and logistics infrastructure.
The Nexperia partnership demonstrates how companies can potentially become part of a broader ecosystem around the Dholera fab.
This is particularly significant because Tata Electronics is building the Dholera facility as a large-scale semiconductor manufacturing operation rather than simply a standalone factory.
Potential ecosystem impact
As more semiconductor companies and suppliers participate in the project, Dholera could see the development of additional industrial activities around:
- Semiconductor materials
- Manufacturing equipment
- Engineering
- Logistics
- Industrial services
- Testing and packaging
- Chemical supply
- Technical workforce
- Research and development
NXT HOUSING Takeaway:
The Nexperia-Tata partnership is another indication that Dholera’s semiconductor development is attracting participation from international technology companies.
