Tata Electronics Expands Semiconductor Partnerships
16 partnerships announced across India’s semiconductor ecosystem

Tata Electronics announced a series of semiconductor partnerships during Semicon India 2026.
Financial Express reported that Tata Electronics announced seven partnerships initially, with a total of 16 partnerships planned across its semiconductor projects in Dholera, Gujarat, and Jagiroad, Assam.
Areas covered by the partnerships
The collaborations span different parts of the semiconductor value chain, including:
- Wafer fabrication
- Semiconductor materials
- Advanced packaging
- Equipment
- Chip design
- Supply-chain localization
- Workforce development
- Engineering
- Research and technology
Partners mentioned include Nexperia, Fujifilm, Besi, Semiconductor Laboratory and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, among others.
Why this is significant for Dholera
The development suggests that Tata Electronics is building a network around the Dholera fab rather than developing the project independently.
The company has stated that more than 450 ecosystem partners are involved in the Dholera project across construction, equipment, chemicals and materials.
Workforce development
Semiconductor manufacturing also requires highly specialized engineering and technical talent.
Tata Electronics has therefore also entered partnerships focused on training and developing talent for areas such as facility engineering, infrastructure systems, project management and logistics.
This could contribute to the development of a specialized industrial workforce in and around Gujarat.
NXT HOUSING Takeaway:
The growing number of partnerships demonstrates the breadth of infrastructure, technology and supplier support required to establish a semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.
